You spoke and we listened. Cvent is proud to announce our second release of 2012. As usual, input from our clients played a major role in the enhancements. These new features signal our continuing commitment to being the most comprehensive event management, web survey and e-marketing solution available.
In addition to new features, we have begun focusing on the Cvent user experience to increase usability across our solutions. This new structure is being introduced in the June release, with a complete overhaul of the "Contacts" tab. You will notice a more intuitive layout and easier access to the functions you use the most.
**In order to update the application, Cvent will be unavailable starting at 9:00 PM US ET on Friday, June 15, 2012. The update will be complete by or before 5:00 AM US ET on Saturday, June 16, 2012. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.**
Remember, we value your feedback, and since many of the new features below are a result of your requests, we encourage you to continue sending us your comments and opinions.

Cvent has made significant enhancements to the Destination Guide, providing you with more exposure to meeting planners as they research potential event locations on the Cvent Supplier Network and through search engines like Google, Yahoo and Bing. Additionally, we've worked to ensure that our partners have increased access to and ability to win more of the $5.2 billion in group business expected to flow through the system this year. We've also introduced star ratings as a search filter choice, and revamped the Meeting Room and Estimated Costs grid to be more user-friendly.
General Updates
Upload the new Cvent Meetings Facebook application and allow visitors to send a Cvent RFP directly from your Facebook page.
Planners now have the ability to filter search results based on Star Rating, powered by Northstar Travel Media's Crown Hotel Ratings system. For questions about your hotel's rating, please contact cventhotelreq@ntmllc.com.
Store web links within your venue's document library to include on your Cvent profile and proposals.
Control the frequency of Cvent's newly designed email notifications through your administration settings.
Take advantage of the improved functionality and usability of the hotel-side Meeting Room and Estimated Cost grids.
View historical RFP emails and messages within your Cvent account.
Utilize new options on the Destination Guide Brand and Directory pages to make them more robust and customizable.

Cvent constantly strives to improve your experience with our event management tool. We've added new security and payment features and integrated cutting edge technology in our software to help organizations like yours better leverage social media, mobile applications and increase interaction among attendees at your events.
Brand New Appointment Scheduler*
Allow your registered invitees to schedule appointments with other invitees and their guests. Limit who can send appointments to who, as well as when appointments can be scheduled. Appointments appear in the attendee's agenda, on desktop and mobile. Email notifications inform (and remind) attendees of the appointment invitations, edits and cancellations.
Use an Outlook-like calendar to view sessions and appointments. Quickly see "free" and "busy" information for other attendees.
Add appointments in bulk by using the appointment importer.
Allow attendees to better locate and communicate with each other by turning on a simple search on the Attendees page.
Social Media: Facebook Integration
Use an easy-to-deploy Cvent widget to display upcoming events on your organization's Facebook Page.
Automatically create a "Facebook Event" for your event from within the Cvent application.
Table Management and Seat Assignment for Registrants
Manage tables and assign seats to registrants and non-registrants using an improved interface.
Assign a registrant to multiple tables and seats in a single event.
Import seat assignments from an Excel (.txt) file.
Improved Travel Management
Use a new, more flexible interface and workflow for registrants who request and select their own roommates.
Specify when more than one registrant can fit into a single hotel room so that the Cvent application can better calculate capacity.
Enable sub-questions for travel questions.
Set the order in which hotels and room types will be displayed on the various travel pages.
Limit the number of air requests and actuals that each registrant can have. Set a deadline for submitting air requests.
Include new fields related to air requests, air actuals and hotel requests in custom reports.
Create shell Passenger Name Records (PNRs) automatically (or on-demand) in the Global Distribution System which provides process efficiencies in group travel booking. PNRs will automatically be updated with travel details once the booking is completed.
Import and refresh PNRs from text files when using our Global Distribution System integration.
Use advanced sub-block management to create and maintain blocks of hotel inventory in a more flexible and accurate manner.
Fully Functional Task Management
Perform bulk add/edit actions on task lists.
Copy or assign tasks to an event role.
Disable task-related email alerts.
Assign tasks related to an agenda session.
eCommerce Updates
Use 3D Secure to add increased authentication to your online credit card transactions.
If your PayPal business account is set up in a particular language, the registrant will see the express checkout page in the same language.
When reconciling PayflowPro statements, choose from additional options on which Cvent fields are sent for matching. Contact your Account Manager for details.
Additional Enhancements
Leverage an enhanced and redesigned interface on the Contacts tab.
New advanced interface for session selection allows registrants to search for agenda items based on date, category, keyword, and more.
View summaries of invitees, products, questions, and housing under Manage Invitees.
In the HTML editor, insert a new file from your computer instead of having to search the Cvent library.
Include session questions and answers in the "Survey Question Details by Registrant" and "Survey Question Summary" reports.
Choose whether to show unanswered questions to registrants on the My Answers page.
Create your events in Italian, Portuguese, Chinese or Japanese.
CC up to five email addresses when you send emails.
Set up a planner email alert to be sent when your event's status changes to "Archived".
Filter your search results according to the last action performed when adding invitees to an event or members to a distribution list.
Choose new headers from Invitation and eMarketing templates as well as some mobile-friendly versions in the Cvent library.

Cvent has made substantial improvements to our Membership Management capabilities, providing you with greater flexibility and ease of use. Included in this update are increased control of email scheduling, new reporting options and enhanced payment & refunding capabilities.

Cvent has enriched the web survey product to provide broader support for voice-of-the-customer trend analysis and to deliver transactional surveys that enable pinpoint quality of service feedback on specific transactions. Further, we've made it easier for you to increase survey participation by word-of-mouth, giving you the ability to promote your surveys on social channels via a new data-tag solution.
Social Media Publication and Integration
Allow respondents to share a link to your survey on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, or Google+ from the survey. The links you share can go to the survey or any other website.
Invite respondents to LIKE your Fan Page or a partner's page on Facebook within the survey, and welcome and thank-you pages.
Add a new data tag within the survey or on "Thank You" pages asking respondents to share their positive comments about your organization or product on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn or Google+. This can optionally be done conditionally, only for those who contribute favorable responses.
Track and report on the social media "shares" that drove the most responses to your survey (and who shared them).
Pre-define the linked "share" text to ensure hashtags and keywords are used on social sites.
Easy Access to Respondent Data
Create multi-response, transactional surveys with unique response identifiers to easily track the response back to a specific event, customer service interaction or transaction.
Leverage two new text analysis output formats: circle or tree visualization. Expand or collapse phrases or phrase categories to gain a deeper understanding of open-ended responses.
Quickly select multiple questions and edit scoring or export values for them one after another.
Easily verify or adjust the distribution of scores via our new "Scoring Values" report.
Additional Enhancements
Set your matrix category order preference (as entered, alphabetical or random); show sub-questions based on "other" choice.
Choose the date you want your survey to close for specific members of your targeted lists.
From the Search Respondents page, delete multiple responses; delete multiple respondents; or move multiple respondents from "Partial Response" to "Complete Response" status simultaneously.
Filter your search results according to the last action performed when adding respondents to a survey.
Choose new headers from Survey and eMarketing templates in the Cvent Library as well as some mobile-friendly versions.
Create printable surveys that use the question display text. Printable surveys can now be created for each of the survey's languages, including three new additions: Chinese, Japanese and Portuguese.
